The Board has received notification that Racing NSW has implemented Local Rule 82C of the Rules of Racing.  Any veterinary practitioner working with thoroughbred horses in training or competition in NSW is now required by Racing NSW to hold a licence issued by Racing NSW from 1 August 2015. 

The Board has developed the attached advice, Racing NSW Licence Information for Veterinarians, to assist veterinarians who may be affected by Local Rule 82C.

Importantly, given the requirements of this licence, the Board recommends that you seek your own legal advice before applying for a Racing NSW licence.
